Supervisory It Specialist (policy And Planning)

Position Description

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY IT SPECIALIST (POLICY AND PLANNING) in the Digital Networks & Applications Department (DNA) and Digital Analytics infrastructure and Technology Advancement (DAiTA) Group of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV. This position serves as the Mission Support and Logistics IT Division Head which acts as the primary technical advisor to DNA leadership and customers on issues and solutions within DNA's area of responsibility. The duty location of this position is Patuxent River, MD.

Position Duties/Responsibilities

• You will demonstrate technical expertise in all functional areas, and ability to integrate this expertise with practical knowledge of the mission, objectives, and operations of the component served.
• You will manage all end item products (VTC, cellular devices, RDTE laptops, etc.), the Business Telephone Office and NMCI Assistant Contract Technical Representative (ACTR) personnel, operations and processes.
• You will provide budget structure and management support relevant to Research, Development, Test and Evaluation networks.
• You will provide expertise in all IT functional areas and integrate this expertise with practical knowledge of the mission, objectives, and operations.
• You will use critical thinking to analyze the systems and products across DNA’s portfolio to ensure appropriate engagement and engineering for evolving requirements.
• You will utilize NAVAIR/NAWCAD EEO policies, NAWACD employee supervision and personnel management practices.
• You will provide supervision regarding Information systems and related ADP technologies to specialists who employ automated information systems as tools.
