Position
The middle market business underwriting department has an immediate opening for someone who can demonstrate the WCF values to join their team as a full-time Associate Underwriter.. This posting is open to internal candidates only.
Responsibilities
- The Associate Underwriter provides excellent customer experience for external and internal partners.
- Develop expertise in underwriting functions including new and renewal quoting, policy management, risk evaluation, risk management, policy pricing.
- Building and maintaining result-oriented relationships with all customers to drive production and retention results.
- Meet a high service level with exceptional service - via phone calls, emails, and online applications.
- Build the WCF brand and long-term agency and account relationships.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree is preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Strong organization skills and work accuracy.
- Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks.
- Interest in developing a carrier in a stable, complex, and fulfilling industry.
An internal candidate should have six months in their current position, acceptable job performance, and must notify their current supervisor that they have applied for the position.
