VACCINATION:
YOUR ROLE: The VP Product Management & Strategy will develop and lead the Company’s overall product strategy for software products, while overseeing the existing product portfolio. Reporting directly to the Chief Technology Officer, this position is a highly visible role and will set strategic priorities across the organization. The VP Product Management & Strategy, through his/her/their experience as a business-oriented technology, product, and data leader, will architect a software product roadmap, improve the existing operating/delivery model, and ultimately deliver meaningful value for WCG and its clients. The successful candidate will provide senior leadership, vision, advocacy and guidance over an evolving software product strategy – both internally and for future customer-facing products. This leader will have the opportunity to impact the clinical trial and drug development industry as WCG’s numerous assets are unmatched in the market. They will drive immediate impact operationally and commercially and will be a trusted advisor across the entire organization, leading a team of approximately 20 employees with expectations to grow.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR IN A SUCCESSFUL VP PRODUCT MANAGEMENT & STRATEGY:
- An undergraduate degree – ideally in business, management, software engineering or related field - is required.
- An advanced degree – such as an MBA or MS is preferred
- Technology leader with at least 8 years of broadly based, progressive software product strategy and development experience
- While clinical trial industry expertise is not required, experience in life sciences, pharmaceuticals, health services, clinical research organizations and/or industry vendors is strongly preferred
- Proven leadership and management skills are paramount; successful candidate must clearly demonstrate the ability to create, lead and execute a vision for an enterprise software product function
- 5 years experience and expertise in modern, cloud-based platforms and tools including leading an organization on the challenging journey from disparate and fragmented product assets to modern, unified, cloud-enabled capabilities
- Outstanding communication, listening and interpersonal skills; and ability to quickly establish credibility and rapport with a broad set of executives and constituencies, serving as a leader both inside and outside the organization, with a keen ability to create meaningful value in a scaled, complex, private equity-backed company
- Demonstrating enterprise-wide leadership to ensure collaborative, efficient, effective working relationships, communicating in such a way that inspires creativity and team effectiveness
- Demonstrated business acumen as it relates to the healthcare industry and market trends
- Ability to set a strategic vision while maintaining focus toward operational and tactical execution
- Hands-on and visible in both the day-to-day challenges of execution and production, and the development of strategy and future state delivery
- Track record of clear vision, execution focus, strong prioritization, and planning
- Relationship management skills to collaborate and partner with senior decision makers across the company
- Ability to drive problem solving from an abstract high level as well as from deep in the details
- A true self-starter who can quickly and independently assess business requirements and become a trusted and integral part of the executive team
- Deep understanding of using technology and complex data assets to launch new products and add strategic value to a scaled business with thousands of customers
- Demonstrated ability to quickly and effectively change the mindset of a high growth company to create a more modern approach to software product delivery
- Leads software product management, product strategy, and delivery for WCG
- Leads the software product vision and strategy development process including product roadmap development and review process
- Establishes structure, KPIs, process improvement, and ensures goals and success metrics are met for the product management functions
- Effectively communicates the organization's product strategy to management, staff, partners, customers, and stakeholders
- Works closely with the software engineering team to ensure timely delivery of new software products and product enhancements
- Leads customer-focused initiatives to establish strong customer engagement throughout the product life cycle and build an active customer and thought leader community
- Synthesizes efforts on market feedback to create solutions that align with customers’ and potential customers’ issues with WCG’s solutions
- Leads, manages, and motivates a high-performing team, leading all aspects of key talent retention, skills development, and performance management. Maintains a high-level of motivation and morale
- Develop strong relationships and networks across the organization
- Drive alignment with company business outcomes

Salary : $160,000 - $240,000
