Accounting Department

WDR CPA's & Business Advisors of Queensbury, NY is searching for a self-motivated professional to join our team as a Staff Accountant. WDR's audit and financial statement practice is focused around client service and education.

This position is ideal for a career-oriented individual looking for progression in the field. For the right individual, the firm offers potential progressive opportunities in management and partnership. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Qualifications for the Staff Accountant:

• 1-3 years of accounting experience is preferred
• At least an Associate's degree in accounting, Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn and improve upon skills
• Able to manage time effectively, multitask and maintain composure during stressful situations
• Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat, Outlook, MS Word and MS Excel (QuickBooks a plus)
• Excellent written and verbal communication, team building, leadership and organizational skills
• Exceptional research, planning, problem solving, and critical thinking skills

Responsibilities for the Staff Accountant :

• Write-Up Work
• Trial Balance
• Sales Tax
• 1099's
• May also work with tax preparation for individuals, corporations and not-for-profits

Hour Requirements for the Staff Accountant:

At WDR, we are focused on providing a challenging and rewarding work environment that allows you the flexibility to maintain your life outside of work. Generally, a normal week outside of tax season is 40 hours, and up to 55 hours per week during tax season.
