Elm Manor Nursing is actively seeking motivated Dietary Director for our Skilled Nursing Facility in Canandaigua, NY.

DUTIES:

·         Fiscal responsibilities by maintaining budget

·         Advising and helping with kitchen schedules and hiring of staff including determining efficient FTE requirements

·         Developing menus for residents within the Meal tracker system

·         Work with kitchen staff on inventory management

·         Working with Corporate Purchasing on evaluating vendors and pricing

·         Working with other facility department heads

·         Educating dietary staff

·         Ensuring the facility are following all regulations from various governing bodies such as Department of Health, CMS, OSHA, etc.

·         Ensuring food quality is exceptional and reflect resident choice

·         Ensuring food waste is at a minimum

·         Train staff on use of meal tracker software platform maintenance.

·         Able to help with staffing crisis and staff management

·         Assisting home with internal reviews and tracking

·         Will be running one the dietary kitchens as a department head

·         Communicating with Administrator

REQUIREMENTS:

·         3 years of experience in food service management

·         Certified Dietary Manager

·         Associate degree or higher in food service management or certified for food service management from a national certifying body
