Sports Bar Supervisor

POSITION: Sports and Entertainment Bar Supervisor
REPORTS TO: Sports and Entertainment Bar Manager
STATUS: NON-EXEMPT
JOB SUMMARY:
This will be the place for sports, entertainment, gaming, great food, drinks, and more!
The Sports and Entertainment Bar Supervisor will support the Manager with the oversight of the casino resort Sports and Entertainment. This position is responsible for the oversight of all front-of-house operations. The Supervisor will assist with the entertainment calendar and bookings, service culture, training, menu print accuracy, and the beverage program for the Sports and Entertainment bar. They will be responsible to ensure proper staffing levels of the Sports and Entertainment bar. They will assist the manager with the marketing of the restaurant. Daily, they will supervise the dining room and ensure timely service on a nightly basis. They will ensure proper rotations and plotting of the service team. They will work collectively with the Sports Bar Manager, Chef, and Assistant Director on all menu planning and development. The Sports and Entertainment bar supervisor will assist with all special events, group bookings, and reservations. Will perform duties in all casino and resort outlets as designated by business demands. They are responsible for assisting the Manager with all daily, weekly, and monthly training calendars. Must be able to work nights, weekends, holidays, and events needed by business demands.
Will maintain the highest level of service standards at all times to provide the best dining experience in the area. Our leadership team will demonstrate and promote our We-Ko-Pa-Way Service Culture at all times.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Two years of Supervisory Experience in a high-volume, bar-focused restaurant or sports bar.
Extensive beer and liquor knowledge is required.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Self-motivated with attention to detail.
Knowledge of cocktail development, beer trends, and service as well as overall beverage operations preferred.
4 diamond resort or casino experience required.
Strong analytical skills.
Must have the ability to maintain a marketing and entertainment calendar.
Must have budgetary experience and be able to manage P&L statements, labor, cost of beverage sales, and menu costing.
Must have strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Agilysis, and Stratton Warren or comparable inventory systems.

REQUIREMENTS/DUTIES:
Provides exceptional guest service to both external and internal guests by maintaining and exhibiting the Casino Resort We-Ko-Pa Way Service Standards: Smile and Greet, Name and Meet, Thank you, and Goodbye.
Accountable to all standards set forth in the We-Ko-Pa Way Casino Resort service guide.
The Sports and Entertainment Bar Supervisor with the support of the Sommelier and Manager with the Sports Bar cocktail, beer, and wine list.
Will ensure the accuracy of menus and product availability at all times.
Will assist with the execution of any and all venue entertainment riders, load in and out of band equipment, and green room.
Work to ensure that all products are available and set up including bar prep work, bar mixers, garnishes, and applicable items.
Oversees guest satisfaction through nightly table visits in the bar and dining room.
Must work diligently to create and maintain a regular clientele based on networking, grassroots marketing, social media efforts, and casino player development.
Will be responsible for the training of all bartenders, servers, bussers, and runners and always ensure consistency of service at the highest level.
Responsible for assisting the Manager with orders and inventory of all spirits, beer, and wine.
Must assist maintain a strong and thoughtful beer rotation of 24 tap handles.
Will assist the Manager with all social media accounts, and review platforms such as YELP, TripAdvisor, etc.
Will work with marketing and casino player development and hosts to ensure that top-tier casino players are met as a priority in the restaurant. Will work to assist with the creation of casino marketing events.
Will provide “outside the box” thinking on how to work towards the goal of the best sports and entertainment venue in Arizona.
Addresses all food, beverage, or service-related guest issues and utilizes creativity and resources available to maintain optimum satisfaction.
Works on the floor 90% of the time with a “hands-on” mentality for guest service.
Must be knowledgeable of all health department standards.
Must receive and have a current Food Handlers Card at all times.
Must complete the Management Title IV training through Human Resources
Assists in banquet and catering events for the department including off-site events.
Oversees all beverage-related menus regularly in restaurants and through online resources to ensure 100% accuracy.
Performs other related duties as required by the department.
Must be able to lift in excess of 50 pounds and push or pull 100.
Must be able to obtain and maintain State/Tribal License (including extensive background check).
Must pass a pre-employment drug test.
