Summary: Maintain existing testing equipment, develop process improvements to increase testing efficiency and reduce rejects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Utilize electrical and mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment problems.
- Performs preventative and general maintenance duties including electrical, mechanical, painting, and carpentry.
- Assigned kaizen projects that involve maintenance improvements.
- Develops process improvements.
- Creates simple designs for minor modifications of equipment.
- Operate various hand tools such as drills, saws, sanders, grinders, and larger tools such as lathe and milling machine.
- Prioritize and manage time effectively to provide support to production lines.
Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
Education and/or Experience: Associate’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or High School diploma or G.E.D. and 4 years relevant experience.
Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret electrical blueprints and schematics, general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Department specific database software such as AUTOCAD or CAD; Internet software, Excel Spreadsheet software, and MS Word Processing software
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: A valid driver’s license to drive a company vehicle.
