Inventory Control III

Description

POSITION SUMMARY: Lead the process of ensuring that appropriate amounts of inventory are maintained by the business, so as to be able to meet customer demand without delay while keeping the costs associated with holding inventory to a minimum.

ESSENTIALDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform counts and ensure all inventory is accounted for and reported according to company policy
• Maintain adequate inventory levels to meet customer demand
• Investigate and correct discrepancies in reported quantities and locations of all inventory
• Assess inventory output on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis to identify trends in productivity
• Manage cycle counts of product inventories on a regular basis
• Monitor customer orders
• Receive orders in a timely and accurate manner
• File claims when defective products are discovered
• Coordinate with logistics departments
• Supplies materials necessary to maintain production

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

• Decision making, problem solving, adaptability, teamwork, good communication
• Knowledge of products and procedures
• Knowledge of safety practices, departmental clean up processes
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes utilizing wood
• Good math skills, planning skills, and familiarity with computerized information systems are necessary
• Must exhibit excellent people skills
• Performs other duties as required or directed

EDUCATION: High school education with college education a plus

EXPERIENCE: 2 years in inventory control or related field desired

COMPUTER SKILLS: Must be proficient with MS Office and internal software (ie. AS400, JDE, Citrix, etc.)

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Finger dexterity necessary to operate equipment used in the position, talking, seeing and hearing. Walking, sitting, bending/stooping, pushing/pulling and minimal unassisted lifting (up to 50 lbs) associate with the job duties is required.

Salary : $19 - $25
