Hours: Mon -Fri, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Summary of Duties:
Oversees the technical integrity of work performed and provides technical guidance/direction on all production functions within the PCB Lab including training technicians, testing, troubleshooting, and fixturing. Provides technical guidance and recommendations to third party Electronic Contract Manufacturers related to designs, components, and requirements. Coordinate efforts associated with planning, procuring, installing and qualifying new PCB manufacturing processes. Performs product/process analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement, and improved efficiency for all PCB related products. Enter, maintain all PCB and electrical component part numbers, BOM’s, mfg. routers, and work orders, in JDE software and assist with performing annual cost rolls to support manufacturing production. Addresses all PCB related Non-conformances to include internal process related NCR’s and incoming nonconforming product coming from Electronic Contract Manufacturers. Performs standard cost evaluations and adjusts standard costs to capture improvements to the PCB manufacturing processes. Represents Manufacturing on cross-function engineering teams and leads the implementation of any new PCB products being transferred to production from engineering. Implements changes driven by Engineering Change Notices for all PCB related products and processes. Must understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies of Weatherford. Work assignments carried out to the highest quality level. Perform various other duties assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field of study and 5 years of experience in the job offered or related occupation. In addition, the applicant must have demonstrative experience with:
- Workshop tools utilized by facility – LabVIEW, Oscilloscope, Multimeter, power supply units, soldering equipment, ESD workstations, conformal coating stations, and test ovens.
- Basic principles of electricity – Troubleshoot Printed Circuit Board assemblies to determine failed components.
- IPC J-STD-001 Standard Soldering requirements.
- Reading/modifying PCB test programs written in LabVIEW.
- WFT designs, components, and requirements.
- Planning, procuring, installing and qualifying new PCB manufacturing processes.
- Product/process analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement, and improved efficiency for PCB related products.
- PCB and electrical component part numbers.
- BOM’s, mfg. routers, and JDE software.
- Data Analysis to determine yield rates for both PCB vendor quality/workmanship and for testing of printed circuit boards.
