Job Description
Weatherford is hiring for an Electro/Mechanical Technician in our West Hardy Road facility in Houston. This is a hands on, rewarding role where you will be building/wiring of new build (Capex) products and tools for the oil and gas industry. The Electro/Mechanical Technician will be working within a supportive, inclusive team in a fast-paced, progressive environment. Has responsibility for providing "hands-on" technical support to the production, equipment, and/or tools.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: (not listed in any particular order)
- To maintain tools as per procedure or as per supervisor & engineering with completing relevant paperwork
- Conduct individual tests to ensure integrity of assemblies
- To ensure that the workshop is always in a clean state at all times.
- Organization of verification of metrology and equipment calibration.
- Maintenance of equipment in proper form.
- Know and understand Weatherford Quality Policy and comply with all requirements of the Quality Systems Manual, Operating and Technical Procedures and Workplace Instructions.
- Must understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies of Weatherford.
- Be willing to train on new technology as Weatherford progresses in the oil industry.
Qualifications
Primary Background Requirements:
- 2 years related experience preferred with High School Diploma (or Secondary School Diploma, or equivalent) preferred
- Knowledge of windows based systems Mechanically Inclined experience required
- Must have the ability to work occasional weekend
- Must have a valid driver's license
- High and Low temp soldering is a must.
- Experience in working with Wireline Equipment, MWD & LWD is a Plus.
