Weaver Bros. Inc. has an opening for a Feed Mill Labor position. This employee is responsible for helping to maintain our food quality, food safety and feed manufacturing standards through good housekeeping practices and assisting in other roles. This is a first shift position with work required occasionally after hours, weekends and holidays.
Knowledge Required:
- Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to communicate with team and management.
- Reasoning Skills: Ability to solve practical problems. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Education: Minimum requirement of a high school degree or equivalent
- Equipment Skills: Ability to operate a Forklift and other feed manufacturing operation equipment is required.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to climb ladders
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds
- Ability to crawl under and reach over equipment as needed
- Able to work in high and low temperatures.
Day-to-day Responsibilities:
- Operate manufacturing equipment
- Assist in the Manufacture feed in accordance with quality assurance policies, standard operating procedures, and current GMP’s
- Assist with preventive and regular maintenance on equipment
- Perform routine housekeeping
- Comply with all company policies
- Comply with all Local, State and Federal laws and regulations
- Perform other duties as assigned
