Description
Oversee the operation of the grocery and wellness areas of our Raleigh store. Direct daily operations, train and manage staff, assist customers, coordinate with Merchandiser on products and display . Serve as Manager on Duty for retail side of store - Produce, Grocery and Customer Service - and direct people and resources to best meet the needs of customers throughout the day.
Qualifications
Essential Qualifications:
- Ability to project an outgoing, friendly personality
- Retail management experience
- Demonstrated ability to lead staff, build sales and manage budgets and shrink
- Able to select and display groceries and produce for maximum appeal and train others to do the same
- Able to operate department safely and efficiently
- Ability to work with customers and co-workers from various cultural backgrounds
- Regular, predictable attendance
- Self-motivation and direction
Functional Qualifications:
- The ability to stand and walk for long periods; work daily in a cooler and outdoors; lift, bend, and twist, while holding boxes up to 60 #; prepare, price and stock items, run a touch-screen register
- Available evening and weekends
- Fluent English is required for this customer-focused position
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2 years Grocery, Produce, Floral, and/or meat-seafood management experience in a natural foods setting
- Experience in other areas of store operations is a plus
- Knowledge of natural, organic and local foods
