Web Shop Manager has been at the forefront of Automotive eCommerce for 25 years, providing robust and scalable e-commerce solutions to over 300 clients. We are looking for an experienced Controller to join our team, bringing expertise in both SaaS and professional services financial management. This role is crucial for maintaining our financial health and supporting strategic decisions that will propel our future growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
- Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, report variances, and prepare financial statements.
- Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting by implementing and maintaining appropriate internal control systems.
- Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
- Develop and maintain financial accounting systems for cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit control, and petty cash.
- Oversee the accounting operations of subsidiary corporations, especially their control systems, transaction-processing operations, and policies and procedures.
- Utilize extensive knowledge of industry-specific software, including QuickBooks Online, Chargebee, Gusto, Harvest, and Bare Metrics, to streamline financial operations and provide detailed financial insights.
- Analyze and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner; clearly communicate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration; CPA or Master’s degree preferred.
- At least 5 years of accounting and finance experience, ideally within a SaaS and professional services firm.
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures including GAAP.
- Experience with creating financial statements and extensive reporting.
- Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
- Excellent accounting software user and administration skills.
- Proven ability to handle and prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to present financial data to non-finance stakeholders.
- Fine doing bookkeeping tasks
