Program Manager Series
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Business or Engineering plus 3 years automotive industry experience, or at least 10 years directly related technical experience in the automotive industry.
- Technical skills and project management skills required.
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills required.
- Customer relations experience helpful.
- Ability to operate a vehicle and valid drivers licenses required.
- Ability and willingness to travel out-of-town.
- Work performed in an office environment with minimum exposure to unpleasant working conditions.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinates new product development activities.
- Coordinates ongoing program management for launched products.
- Interfaces with suppliers for development, quality and continuous improvement activities.
- Manages the Programs Management Control Plan (i.e. Maintains project timing charts, schedules prototype builds, sets up and maintains Program Tracking System).
- Supervises technical services activities and initiates a cradle to grave service parts plan, and applications lists.
- Maintains a warranty concern plan for containing and correcting field and return problems.
- Drives ideas for cost reductions and achieves cost reduction targets.
- Manages the Engineering Change Management process (RFE and PCR).
- Maintains and resolves product open issues list.
- Represents Webasto at customer product planning and product review functions.
- Develops and maintains all product related fiscal operating budgets, and capital budgets. Develops cost targets.
- Conducts project review meetings with appropriate colleagues and customers.
- Ensures adequate engineering representation at customers.
