Description
Perform the initial intake interviews for all new probationers inclusive of courtesy cases, intrastate and interstate compact cases and entering all defendant data for the creation of new client folders. Prepare necessary files and documents for court proceedings, which contain confidential information while alternating receptionist duties when needed.
Employment is on an "At-Will" basis and subject to all policies and procedures by the Webb County CSCD.
Examples of Duties
Adhere to Texas State Laws, Department policies/procedures and directives and exemplify professionalism at all times.
Interview assigned clients and enter all defendants’ personal data into Corrections Software in preparation of client case folders.
Review court dockets and inform the respective officer of pending courts proceedings while preparing the necessary paperwork for court such as motions for the court, PSI, recommendation letter, termination information letter, or pre-trial status letter.
Ensure proper phone etiquette and follow through with forwarding messages and returning calls.
Complies and prepares statistical reports as needed by supervisor.
Maintain a high degree of integrity by keeping confidential information and/or documentation in strictest confidence.
Work long hours if necessary.
E-file conditions of probation, compliance letters, and Pre-sentence Investigation to the respective courts.
Perform any and all duties as instructed by the immediate Supervisor and/or CSCD Management.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma / GED
Alternatively, minimum three years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
SKILLS:
Knowledge of standard office equipment including personal computer and software programs, including proficiency in current versions of Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Outlook.
Strong writing skills required to produce grammatically correct documentation.
Ability to verbally communicate with professionalism and provide excellent customer service skills.
Ability to prioritize multiple duties while working under pressure with time restrictions.
Must be able to communicate in English and Spanish.
Typing requirements-minimum 30 wpm.
Organizational skills.
