Job Summary
The Compliance Analyst reports to a Compliance Manager and is responsible for reviewing Strategic Partner marketing, coordinating testing requests, and identifying trends related to complaints and issues, among other tasks. This position requires performing day-to-day compliance management activities related to Strategic Partner and Bank owned programs and other projects as assigned.
Primary Responsibilities
- In collaboration with WebBank Compliance Managers, execute the issue management program
- Review Strategic Partner marketing materials to ensure compliance with applicable regulations
- Participate in the planning and execution of compliance reviews of Strategic Partner Programs
- Review policies, procedures, and process maps to validate that Strategic Partners are following Bank expectations and requirements
- Assist Compliance Managers with the preparation of reports related to compliance oversight of Strategic Partners for review by multiple stakeholders within the Bank
- Monitor federal and state regulatory changes related to consumer and commercial lending
- Collaborate with Compliance and Program Management teams to identify complaint trends and escalate concerns as necessary to assess compliance impact and regulatory risk
- Collaborate with Strategic Partners in root cause analysis activities for issues identified through customer complaints and identifying solutions to mitigate future issues
- Possibility of travel up to 10%
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or 3 years of experience in a bank or other regulated financial services company
- Excellent ability to understand and apply state and federal legal and regulatory requirements
- Strong self-confidence, good judgment, and the ability to make sound decisions
- Ability to interface effectively with all levels of management and partners within many internal departments
- Ability to handle a fast-paced environment with minimum supervision and successfully meet established project deadline requirements
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to respond quickly and effectively to feedback and improve processes
- Experience with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business management, accounting, or finance
- Experience in marketing, policy, or testing review
- Strong presentation skills
- CRCM certification
- Working knowledge of federal and state lending laws and regulations such as TILA, ECOA, UDAAP, CAN-SPAM, FDCPA, etc.
- Experience working with regulatory agencies and third-party auditors
- Advanced skills with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
