Webco Industries has an opportunity for Environmental Coordinator at our Sand Springs facilities. This position will report to the Environmental Manager.
Job Responsibilities
- Develops, implements, maintains and directs programs, processes, procedures and systems to comply with Federal, State, and local laws as well as environmental regulations from other applicable agencies and to address potential environmental liabilities.
- Modifies programs, processes, procedures, operating equipment, and systems as necessary to remain compliant with changing regulations.
- Assist in updates and revisions of facility environmental policies and procedures
- Collect, transport, and deliver environmental lab samples
- Support and participate in environmental compliance and process audits
- Assist in completion of annual environmental compliance audit by corporate environmental manager
- Research and maintain an understanding of stormwater inspections, hazardous waste, and general housekeeping best practices
- Waste stream determinations
- Waste disposal approvals
- Waste disposal plan maintenance and notifications
- Management of satellite areas and hazardous waste storage area
- Assists in all waste related reporting including:
- State Hazardous Waste reports (if required)
- Federal Biennial Hazardous Waste reports (if required)
- Annual Tier II reports
- Annual Toxic Release Inventory reports
- Annual Air Emissions Calculations
- Assists in maintaining compliance with all Federal EPA and DOT hazardous waste /hazardous materials regulations and all State and local environmental regulations
- Development and implementation of waste minimization technology
- Assists in Storm Water compliance – maintenance of “No Exposure”
- Assists in the management of compliance with all Federal, State and local environmental air permits (if any)
- Company interface with regulatory agencies and agents
Hours:
The hours consist of eight-hour shifts: Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. May require additional hours of work on occasion, as required. Flexibility is available to work with a school schedule.
Qualifications
Required Education and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or related field
- Prefer (2) years of experience in an environmental compliance role or a combination of education and experience that is equivalent.
- Knowledge of state and federal environmental regulations and standards and applicability to operations.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment a plus.
- Highly motivated, personable, flexible, and eager to enhance knowledge and skills through on-going education and development.
