Job Summary/Basic Function
The Department of Psychological Science, Neuroscience Program, and Women & Gender and Queer Studies are seeking an 11-month (40 hours per week) administrative specialist who would work 25% of time with Women & Gender and Queer Studies and the rest of time with Psychological Science and Neuroscience. We are seeking energetic, detail-oriented applicants, with the strong ability to organize, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a timely manner with varied work projects in three separate organizations; high proficiency using PC applications, answering departmental phone, emailing students, staff, and faculty; using WSU scheduling, budget, and people management software; advising students about the programs’ schedule of courses and electives; event planning; excellent verbal, written, and communication skills; strong social skills that demonstrate the ability to interact effectively and work with students, faculty, staff, community leaders and business people.
Required Qualifications
Required:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Two years secretarial, administrative, office manager experience, or related experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred
Familiarity with WSU Banner, and Concur financial system, or other similar/related systems
Website Design experience
Graphic design experience
Familiarity with publishing software , experience in higher education setting
