Job Summary/Basic Function
The position is for an hourly, part-time buyer. Individual will work in the supply department of the Wildcat Store, serving in a variety of departmental capacities. The position serves as the Wildcat Store’s buyer for supplies, art supplies and convenience items. Tasks and responsibilities to include: providing excellent customer service; buying/sourcing product through vendors; maintaining accurate inventory; creating and implementing merchandising plans for store product; keeping abreast of new products and trends; working with academic departments and customers to determine proper supply inventory; overall responsibility for maintaining stock levels, cleanliness and organization of product areas. The position will work collaboratively with store team members and departments, including marketing. The position reports directly to the Retail Operations Manager. Key relationships are maintained through professionalism and respect.
