Partner Connection Manager

What will you do:
- Own and deliver sales quota, including the number of customers closed, revenue closed and Microsoft Cloud sales.
- Anticipate customers’ needs and match them with appropriate products and services.
- Effectively drive customer opportunities until successful closing by positioning the value of the solutions to customers, engaging both with customers and partners.
- Secure new customer wins for the Microsoft Cloud & Security Evaluations Program.
- Maximize up-sell and cross-sell opportunities by collaborating with client sales teams.
- Execute the pre-technical call (PTC) to ensure a successful installation. Deploy the application, troubleshoot, and deliver the results of the evaluation to the MSP, end customers, and the sales reps associated with the MSP/end customer.
- Communicate and network effectively. Successfully persuades and influences others.
- Develop a Level 300 knowledge of Microsoft’s Cloud offerings and leverage all training resources.
- Engage with MSPs to solicit end customer nominations and assist MSPs to drive adoption of the Microsoft Cloud & Security Evaluations Program to close the installation/deal. Provide support to MSPs as needed.
- Control primary performance indicators and run rates of pipeline: hand-off rate, close rate, velocity, customer and agreement retention, revenue recapture, consumption, etc.
- Collect feedback on active MSPs and articulate it to the business: “Voice of Customer”
- Meet and exceed team level monthly, quarterly, and annual targets for net-new revenue and sales pipeline, as well as operational metrics.
- Constantly research and educate self with the newest developments in cloud capabilities and pricing for both Microsoft and competitors.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree required; bachelor’s degree with the relevant study is preferred in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Engineering
- 2 years of experience in partner sales, channel sales, or business development in the technology/IT industry
- A minimum of Microsoft Fundamentals certification is required; L200 certification is preferred.
- Broad knowledge of and ability to explain key end-user scenarios and technology adoption planning for cloud solutions
- Must be able to deal with a frequently changing environment, incomplete information, and complex stakeholder structures
- Demonstrated knowledge of identity, authentication, security, privacy, and compliance and how they factor into cloud and hybrid solutions is preferred
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills are required, as well as strong presentation skills, both internally and in customer-facing.
- Experience migrating on-premises or cloud servers to another cloud platform is a plus
