Summary
The Associate Implementation Manager's role is to facilitate and ensure teams follow process and workflow within specialized, cross functional teams at Medscape. The Associate Implementation Manager will lead a specialized, cross-functional internal team to implement solutions and will liaise between the execution teams and stakeholders outside of the core team. The Association Implementation Manager understands both Medscape and client challenges to drive and support a strong point of view for the overall project or program execution while skillfully removing obstacles and distractions that may impede the team from meeting goals. The Associate Implementation Manager provides operational leadership and guidance to motivate this team to most efficiently execute projects that are in line with operational goals. The Implementation Manager will be comfortable determining and managing tasks, issues, risks, and action items while monitoring progress and performance and helping teams to make improvements. The Associate Implementation Manager will be viewed by Medscape as the subject matter expert for ways in which we can more effectively collaborate as a team and pilot new ways of thinking.
The Associate Implementation Manager will lead the day-to-day operations of the Agile teams using scrum methodology. In addition to leading daily stand-ups and keeping the team on track and aligned on goals for each sprint, the Associate Implementation Manager will also be responsible for regularly evaluating Agile methodology processes to make optimizations and improvements in partnership with the teams to drive operational change within the organization.
The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation of our internal Medscape processes including existing product knowledge, execution capabilities, Agile methodology, and client talk tracks around various topics including MLR and timing. Candidates must be able to communicate across various internal teams including members of Senior Leadership.
Job Responsibilities
- Report to Senior Manager, Product Operations
- Partner closely with the Implementation Manager and Technical Implementation Manager to support cross-functional team efficiency and Medscape POV
- Lead the cross-functional team of content, development, and implementation SMEs to successfully launch complete operational objectives
- Serve as the first point of contact to help remove blockers and triage issues to execute quickly and smoothly
- Collaborate with U.S. RDHQ Implementation, Account & Project Management and additional stakeholders to determine the best execution approach for new and custom products
- Motivate new cross-functional teams to implement agile methodology across clients
- Coordinate and lead stand-ups, status meetings, and ad-hoc meetings with the internal teams to review project progress and align on next steps
- Make recommendations on Workfront timelines, best practices and point of view talk tracks based on learnings from new processes and executions
- Responsible for partnering on retrospectives following the culmination of initiatives to be delivered to internal teams and Senior Leadership
- Maintain documentation on associated obstacles, solutions, and recommendations for future iterations and agile-lite teams
- Participate in internal calls as the Medscape Product Operations Agile subject matter expert on an as-needed basis
- Lead the day-to-day working of the Merck and Lilly Agile team using agile methodology
- Help the team reach agreement on what they can achieve during each development sprint (or other period of time)
- Identify obstacles and work with the internal teams to create solutions that will drive progress and remove obstacles
Qualifications
- BA/BS or equivalent years of experience
- Up to 1 years of experience in project management, client management, operations and/or product development or another relevant field preferred
- Strong problem-solving, written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional organizational skills and proven ability to deliver on multiple tasks/responsibilities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Up to 1 years relevant experience working in a high-volume, process-oriented environment with a focus on online content development preferred
- Up to 1 years relevant experience working in pharmaceutical and/or healthcare marketing, including direct experience working with pharmaceutical company requirements preferred
- High level of personal and professional accountability and the ability to work independently with minimal direction
- Scrum Master Certification preferred
- Experience working with the Agile Methodology a plus
- Agency experience a plus
- Experience with digital publisher’s a plus
- Experience with Workfront or another similar project management system a plus
- Experience in agile methodology/implementation a plus
