What are the responsibilities and job description for the Billing Data Entry Specialist position at WebPT, Inc.?
The Billing Data Entry Specialist is responsible for all general data entry for the Claims Team. The Billing Data Entry Specialist will need to accurately enter all data into WebPT Billing and various Online Portals. The ideal candidate is knowledgeable, self-motivated, and a positive team player.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a detailed and organized storage system to ensure data entries are complete and accurate.
- Establish data entry standards by continually updating filing systems to improve data quality.
- Support leadership team in an ‘as needed’ project-based work.
- Perform clerical duties in multiple business applications, including the WebPT application.
- Address data inconsistencies by working with administrative staff to locate missing data.
- Attend to data queries and reporting any major data errors to management.
- Adhere to best data management practices and maintain a high standard of accuracy and efficiency.
- Ability to communicate with management and team openly and clearly.
- Reliable and punctual in reporting for work and taking designated breaks.
Abilities and Knowledge
- Ability to navigate multiple web applications simultaneously and be proficient with online meeting software and web conferencing tools.
- Be passionate about accurately entering all necessary data.
- Communicate effectively over the phone and via email.
- Remain focused under pressure.
- Juggle many technical and administrative tasks—all with a sense of urgency—simultaneously and accurately.
- Be organized, ahead of schedule, communicative, and accountable.
Education and Experience
Required:
- GED or High School Diploma.
- One year of administrative and/or data entry experience.
Preferred:
- Experience working with multiple software applications.
- Basic knowledge of Excel.
- General understanding of HIPAA and its requirements
