The Director, SEC Reporting oversees the completeness and accuracy of external reporting across the organization. Aggregates data and prepares and reviews information used for the SEC filings.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead the preparation of the quarterly and annual filings with SEC
Lead drafting sessions and develop appropriate disclosures through industry and peer benchmarking during quarterly and annual filings
Oversee the update to the XBRL for financial statements
Coordinate and maintain an external reporting calendar
Support the preparation of materials for audit committee and disclosure committee meetings
Present at Disclosure Committee meetings and/or Audit Committee meetings, as appropriate
Coordinate communications with external auditors on financial statements to ensure auditor agreement with company decisions on disclosures and reporting issues
Participate in technical accounting research and preparation of technical accounting memos
Monitor and assess accounting policy /SEC reporting changes and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders
EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance or related field or combination of relevant education experience and training
Certified Public Accountant designation required
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a supervisory capacity managing people and projects
Minimum of 6-10 years’ experience in finance or accounting with a focus on SEC reporting and/or accounting policy
Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to identify issues, seek information and impacts and problem-solve
Strong verbal and written communication skills, to effectively present to peers and management
The estimated salary range for this position is $130,000USD to $160,000USD. Actual salary may vary up or down depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position is eligible for incentive compensation.
