Wage Range - $45,000 - $55,000
 
JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary/Objective
 
 The Corporate Accounting Specialist performs daily accounting tasks to support the financial team. The Accounting Specialist will support the Controller with daily tasks including AP, bank reconciliations, financial analysis, payroll backup, tax reporting and compliance and overall accounting support. 

Essential Functions

1. Process accounts payable
2. Prepare bank reconciliations
3. Manage tax notices and compliance with our third-party consultant 
4. Project implementation support
5. Back up for payroll processing
6. Other accounting and administrative duties will be assigned to provide professional support to the daily operations and day to day needs 

Competencies

1. Proficient in Excel. Strong knowledge of ERP systems, Epicor experience is a plus
2. Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, ability to follow up on multiple issues and be deadline driven
3. Strong communication skills
4. Effective problem-solving skills
5. Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

The employee must frequently lift and move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and move objects up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. 

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm.  Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.  Expected normal weekly hours 45 – 50 per week.  

Travel

No travel is expected for this position.

Required Education and Experience

1. 3 years of work experience as a bookkeeper/accounting specialist
2. Associate degree or higher required, in accounting preferred
