Description
Adjunct Instructor of Voice:
Deliver high level music instruction to University students as
required for students' degree program. Devise and develop a course of study appropriate for each course or each student according to their degree program. Degree programs include: BM in Music Performance, Bachelor of Music Education, Bachelor of Arts in Music, Master of Arts in Music and Master of Music Performance. This may also include students who pursue the Minor in Music and those who are pursuing a major course of study outside of Music. The instructor will be responsible to deliver required meetings per semester, monitor progress of students toward the completion of the instruction and final exam or jury at the end of the semester.
Supervision will be under the auspices of the faculty director of the area of study and the Chair of the Department of Music.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop syllabi appropriate to each course and level of degree instruction
- Develop appropriate and progressive repertoire for each student in an applied lesson
- Deliver weekly lessons of 30- or 60-minutes weekly to each student in an applied lesson
- Provide all course instruction and lessons on the campus of Webster University
- Evaluate and develop weekly progress of students appropriate to course study
- Prepare Performance Majors for annual recitals in an applied lesson
- Prepare all students for semester final exams or performance juries in applied music
- Attend and evaluate students at semester performance juries in applied music
Position is < 29 contact hours / week. Part time.

Minimum Qualifications
Minimum three years of successful experience teaching at the University/Professional level. Master of Arts in Music, Master of Music degree, or advanced degree such as D.M.A. or Ph.D.
Demonstrated ability as a performer and teacher of Music.
Preferred Qualifications
