The Director of E-commerce will be responsible for leading and developing direct-to-consumer e-commerce stores and digital marketing to those properties. The leader in this role will be accountable for digital analysis, presenting insights and recommendations to drive sales and conversions and ensuring an optimal digital user experience. The candidate is expected to be a visionary with a high level of digital merchandising and project management expertise who likes to work in a fast-paced, innovative, and collaborative work environment. The role will involve cross-functional collaboration across multiple departments.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop, execute, and deliver annual strategic growth plans.
Leverage marketing and promotional opportunities to drive account growth.
Responsible for accurate monthly SKU-level inventory forecasts by leveraging POS and historical sales data to improve the SOP process.
Generate, manage, and maintain monthly and weekly POS reports.
Use analytic tools for critical decision making and competitive analysis.
Stay up to date on trends in the e-commerce industry.
Increase market share by advocating placement in emails, landing pages, and catalogs.
Review retail and customer profitability on top-selling items, adjust the price accordingly to ensure the account remains competitive.
Complete price increases, including all customer communications and administrative responsibilities.
Track and analyze sales and profitability reports, recommend opportunities for sales improvement and implementation.
Maintain and grow product assortment.
Responsible for product launch strategy including timely item set-up, seeding ratings and reviews, and coordinating merchandising and paid efforts.
Manage and maintain pricing and customer product numbers.
Audit existing product listings for accuracy and make recommendations for improvements.
Analyze the competitive landscape to develop white-label opportunities and influence product development strategy.
Manage site maintenance plan and budget; work with the in-house team and external vendors to achieve the plan and brand goals.
Identify opportunities and prioritize workflow for the maximum impact on business growth:
Oversee all project management related to the site, including working alongside internal and 3rd-party providers.
Leverage merchandising and content expertise to help develop a best-in-class online experience that maximizes conversion opportunities and encourages more site visits
Identify, track, and resolve technical issues within our platform and propose and thoroughly test new functionality of our website platform.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Detail-oriented critical thinker who is an expert in Excel and loves data.
Detailed understanding of end-to-end e-commerce processes including a clear understanding of website infrastructure, content management, product attribution, and customer-facing functionality
Excellent qualitative and quantitative skills; strong project management skills.
Strong organizational, analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, and presentation skills with strong attention to detail
