Administrative Assistant Position
Our family-owned funeral home has a position open for an administrative assistant. Candidates should have some experience working in the funeral profession and feel compassion to help grieving families.
Duties would include answering phones in a professional manner, taking detailed messages, answering questions, dispatching first calls, and assisting on a first call as needed, running errands such as death certificates and purchasing supplies, assisting on services, closing out files, taking inventory, cleaning restrooms and coffee bar in addition to help design service folders, write obituaries and make memorial videos. This position is perfect for the person who enjoys funeral industry but does not want the on call or weekend schedule of being a funeral director.
The position is Monday-Friday from 8am to 4pm with paid vacation, sick time, and health insurance.
