Sandblaster (industrial)

We are looking for a skilled sandblaster (with painting experience preferred) to work at our Moore Haven Location. IF you have sandblasting skills and are mechanically inclined this may be the job for you. Can you sandblast structural beams, machinery, trailers, and trucks?

• The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring functionality and reliability of sandblasting booth, air system, and sandblasting machines.
• An excellent candidate must have manual dexterity and great attention to detail.
• They must be able to work with various machines and tools as well as follow all safety precautions.
• The position will require proper disposal of waste products.
• They must be able to qualify to wear a respirator.
• Need to have a min of 2 years experience as a sandblaster using abrasive blasting equipment to remove paint, grease, tar, rust, fertilizer, and dirt.
• Must now how to properly prep surfaces and load the various machines with media.
• Can lift, carry, and both heavy equipment and parts
• Preparing parts for the paint shop
• Maintenance of the sandblasting equipment
• Keep work area clean and orderly

Wedgworth's Inc. is a drug free workplace and EOE. We have fertilizer blending locations in Clewiston, Moore Haven, and Lake Placid as well as crop protection distribution centers in Immokalee and Lake Placid. We operate a large trailer fleet and have semi trucks as well as passenger vehicles in our fleet. We have fork lifts, front end loaders, and aerial lifts. All our trailers and semi's are under DOT regulations. The blending plants are classified as industrial locations.

We have PPE on hand including but not limited to masks, hand sanitizer, and disinfecting products. Social distancing is in place. We have COVID training also. Please wear a mask to any interview conducted in person.
