This self-starter will develop, implement, and manage ongoing development projects for clients. This role will be responsible for taking custom designed websites and turn them into pixel-perfect WordPress websites using our in-house base theme.
Job Responsibilities
* Develop full WordPress sites by creating custom themes and using core WordPress functions
* Communicate in a team setting on project budget, scope, timelines, and results
* Utilize in-house design and development resources to meet client goals
* Ability to visualize and execute development projects from start to finish in an efficient way
* Tackle smaller “one off” website enhancement projects for existing clients
* Provide monthly maintenance reports for clients
Required Skills
* Proficient in modern HTML, CSS and PHP
* Comfortable knowledge in JavaScript/jQuery
* Custom WordPress theme development
* Comfortable in hosting environment areas such as cPanel and WHM
* General understanding of Git
* General understanding of Gulp / Composer
* Comfortable using local development environments such as MAMP or Vagrant
* Exceptional attention to detail
Desired Skills and Experience
* 2 - 3 years of agency development experience
* Experience with JavaScript frameworks such as React or Vue
* A blend of left brain/right brain - creative but also technically inclined
* Ability to learn new development best-practices quickly and efficiently
* Strong project management, interpersonal skills with the ability to multitask
* Ability to work under firm deadlines while producing effective results
* Amazing customer communication and presentation skills
* Basic problem-solving and research skills
* Experience using Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and XD
Nice to Haves
* Certifications in Google Analytics a plus
* Experience working in tools such as heat-mapping, tag manager, data studio, analytics
* Experience with e-commerce platforms such as Magento, WooCommerce or BigCommerce
* Experience with email marketing platforms and automation features
* Experience with project management software Redbooth (or similar)
