What are the responsibilities and job description for the Operations Manager position at Weiser Security?
Reports to: Branch Manager (or RVP in absence of Branch Manager)
Job Duties:
The Operations Manager is responsible for all job duties listed in the Job Descriptions for the Account Administrator position, in addition to the following job duties:
- Follow all Weiser policies and procedures.
- Conduct yourself in a professional manner at all times.
- In absence of Branch Manager, the Operations manager will have the authority to run the branch.
- Meet with all assigned clients monthly to complete Service Call Reports and follow up on any client request(s) made in previous client meeting(s).
- Has authority to make hiring and termination decisions, as well as to assist in recruiting efforts.
- Timely document and validate all employee performance problems via a Coaching and Counseling form or other documentation in the Employee File.
- Timely document and validate all discharges in Employee Files.
- Negotiate with clients for rate increases.
- Responding on an on-call basis to emergencies and incidents at all hours.
- Ensure contract required training and screening elements for security personnel have been met, as well as quality assurance and contract compliance.
- Ensure staffing at assigned accounts is adequate at 32 hpw
- Communicate staffing needs via Job Vacancy Form to assist recruiters in identifying, interviewing, and hiring quality candidates.
- Respond to after hour calls as well as attend customer meetings, quality contacts, once Account Administrator(s) have worked 40 hours in the current workweek.
- Report, track, complete, respond and defend unemployment claims in conjunction with the Corporate HR Representative.
- Final approval of Post Orders.
- Report all claims of harassment, discrimination, and/or retaliation to the VP-HR, General Counsel, or CEO at the Support Center.
- Report all claims of accidents and injuries involving employees and third parties the VP-Human Resources and work directly with the VP-Human Resources in the handling of all worker’s compensation claims.
- Meet all contractual scheduled hours with a minimum of unbilled overtime.
- Provide direct supervision, guidance, and support of office personnel including recruitment, training, corrective actions and adherence to company policy for Account Administrator(s), Field Supervisor(s), and/or Administrative Assistant(s), if any.
- Oversee, coordinate with line management, and participate in the recruitment, selection, orientation, training, development and retention of high caliber staff; act to ensure that each staff member is treated with dignity and respect; plan, assign, and direct work; coach employees and carry out disciplinary actions, as necessary.
- Review timesheets and manage Account Administrator time in order to manage and approve overtime. Take responsibility for Account Administrator duties if any Account Administrator has already worked 40 hours in the current workweek.
Qualifications:
- Four year College Degree and 7 years of experience in combination of law enforcement, military or management. Must be able to provide upon job offer a DD214 discharge document with discharge status indicated, if prior military.
- Able to obtain a state license where applicable.
- Clean criminal background.
- Clean driving record.
Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong writing and communication skills.
