The repair technician is responsible for diagnosing and facilitating necessary repairs to new production units along with helping develop root cause corrective actions. The role supports final assembly and testing of products and requires understanding of basic electrical theory, mechanical systems around drives, motors, pumps, combustion systems, PCBA’s, and controls.

Diagnose test failures in a high pace manufacturing environment
Perform repairs and verify problem resolution
Document work completed and nature of issue
Collaborate with production workers, supervisors, engineers, etc.
Ability to work with others without direct supervision
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
Develop product knowledge and understanding of key unit features along with how systems are intended to operate.
Apply troubleshooting skills and help production associate’s clear issues during testing.
Operate and interpret test equipment and results.
Maintain clean and organized work area along with well documented repair actions
Work with Test Engineering and Product Engineers on issues and solutions
Perform production assembly work as directed

Competent in basic electricity and electronics
Read electrical schematics and engineering drawings.
Basic understanding of electricity and usage of multimeter
Ability to follow prompts and diagrams to determine points of failure
Understands electrical, mechanical, control systems to resolve software/ hardware and configuration problems
Strong troubleshooting skills with both computer and mechanical/ electrical issues
Must be able to use basic hand tools and specialized tools
