Under the direction of a production supervisor, the Plater Operator plate parts as per Engineering drawings, specifications, and instructions in support of and meeting production schedules while also meeting customer quality expectations; performs all work activities per company and job-specific safety requirements.
Reporting directly to the Production Supervisor, this position is based in Manitowoc, Wisconsin*.
Major Accountability:
Interpret and apply engineering drawings, instructions and standards.
Operate the plating robot and controller.
Operate computer to perform daily job functions
Read and use measuring equipment
Perform chemical testing.
Test, analyze, and control plating process per standard
Measure plating thickness
Identify each evaporator with a label showing its plating origin.
Follow and comply with all safety rules and practices.
Inspect parts before and after plating.
Complete all necessary paperwork
Key Tasks & Responsibilities:
Manually lift parts up to 41 lbs to and from conveyors and racks.
Inspect parts visually and through use of corrosive chemicals.
Able to operate a pallet jack, use various hand tools
Job Requirements:
Read and use measuring equipment
Excellent Verbal Communications skills
Good Organizational and Multi-tasking skills
Operate computer to perform daily job functions
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Ability to regularly lift up to 41-lbs unassisted
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically-demanding, team-oriented environment.
Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
Shift hours may slightly vary and may be subject to overtime based on operational requirements.
