Weld County Regional Communications Center (WCRCC) is a busy emergency communications center located in Greeley, Colorado. We serve the entire Weld County community including all police, fire, and EMS agencies. Our teams spend their shifts answering 911 emergency calls, non-emergency calls and providing support to our first responders.

UPDATED PAY RATES
Dispatcher I
$27.37 - $34.62 per hour
Dispatcher II
$28.72 - $36.40 per hour
Dispatcher III
$30.19 - $38.25 per hour

Duties:
- Answering 911 and non-emergent calls for service while recording information into a computer system.
- Gathering vital information from callers to provide Emergency Medical Dispatch instructions to assist in life saving measures.
- Dispatching incidents to law, fire, and EMS personnel.
- Monitoring radio channels for responder activity.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
- Previous experience dispatching for police, fire or ambulance services desired, but not required.
- Two years customer service experience required.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
Must possess a driver license by the employment start date and maintain a valid license for the duration of employment.
Predictable and reliable attendance for a mission critical position that operates 24/7, 365 per year.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to speak effectively and relay information to customers who are in a state of emotional distress or under the influence.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
- Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
REASONING ABILITY
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS DESIRED:
- Familiarity with windows computer programs with a minimum typing speed of 40 wpm
- Familiarity with computer systems and data entry
- Spanish/English bilingual verbal skills highly desired
- Must be able to obtain and maintain Colorado certification of CCIC/NCIC operation within six months of employment
- Must be able to obtain and maintain Emergency Medical Dispatching (EMD) certification within six months of employment
- Must be able to obtain and maintain CPR certification within six months of employment
- Must pass background and polygraph
