Responsible for daily and annual maintenance of the floors. He/She must attain a standard for a safe, sanitary, and comfortable environment for all.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Reviews and prioritizes cleaning schedule for the day.
Performs 80% floor work, snow removal/salting and maintenance or as needed. Will provide security services as requested.
Wet mops and/or dust mops all hall floors daily.
Vacuums all carpet according to schedule.
Burnishes all floors according to schedule.
Strips and/or waxes floors annually and as needed.
Transports garbage recycle items and soiled linen to designated area according to policies and procedures.
Operates Skid steer and grounds keeping equipment.
Knows, understands, and complies with work standards and procedures developed.
Completes documentation of work completed.
Recommends equipment maintenance as needed.
Demonstrates organization values in daily work.
Supports the policies and procedures of the organization and the standards of the Joint Commission as required for full accreditation.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to managers, patients, and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Salary : $29,600 - $37,500
