Reporting To: Chief Digital Officer
Position Summary:
We are seeking a Director of Digital Content to join our Product team. In this role you will be responsible for identifying content needs and opportunities, creating new articles, understanding product interface language, revising clinical content into user facing “stories” as well as curating and crediting third party content sources. You must have a deep understanding of organization and building relationships based on categories. The content you will be managing will span written, visual and audio. You will work with various stakeholders to find opportunities to align content with product initiatives based on individual user needs. You will be responsible for identifying content and copy needs across the product and will work closely with marketing to keep all our initiatives consistent and scaling. Content is one of Well’s primary engagement levers, and requires a mastery of the written language to communicate with our consumers through information. You should be a storyteller who is passionate about understanding human behavior and motivation.
What You Will Need:
- A passion for digital content and media
- A strong ability to research and publish articles
- Examples of any Medium or other publicly consumed content you have generated
- Ability to work within a content management system and understand essential framework tools such as formatting and tagging
- Ability to work closely with product, marketing, clinical and development teams to curate and create new content regularly
- Background in storyboarding and narrative overview creation (for video, podcasts, etc…)

- You are constantly reading up on topics that interest you
- You have a passion for the value of content and the need to remain current and relevant
- You like puzzles and can apply that passion to defining our content catalog system
- You yourself like to write and have experience as a copywriter and storyteller
- You know what good is - without question you can identify this
- You’re interested in motivating people through information
Hard skills:
- Comfortable with a CMS (e.g. Medium, Wordpress)
- A proven writer with experience researching topics and condensing it into digestible content for consumers
- Competent at all Google suite tools
- Highly organized
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5+ years in digital content strategy and creation, content management and/or co copyrighting
Location Specifications:
- This role is intended to be located in the Boston, MA area.
