Job Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Resident Assistant to join our team. As a Resident Assistant, you will provide direct care and support to residents in our facility. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of our residents.
Duties:
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Provide direct support to residents with memory care needs
- Monitor and record vital signs of residents
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding
- Engage residents in social activities and provide companionship
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents
- Lift and transfer residents as needed
Skills:
- Caregiving experience in a healthcare or senior living setting
- Knowledge of systems and procedures related to resident care
- Familiarity with ADLs and direct support techniques
- Understanding of memory care principles and techniques
- Ability to provide compassionate care to residents
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in documenting resident information accurately
- Ability to lift and transfer residents safely
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certification in CPR and First Aid preferred
- Experience working in a nursing home or assisted living facility is a plus
