Description
Summary: Assist the Human Resources Department with daily activities. Exposure to all areas of Human Resources including recruitment and selection, benefits and compensation, employee orientation, employee relations, performance evaluations, employee rewards and recognition, and workers compensation.
Essential Functions:
Performs special assignments, routine administrative functions or other related work as required.
Develop an understanding of Human resource function, job descriptions and various job openings.
Review resumes, pre-screen applicants over the telephone, and schedule interviews with promising candidates.
Compile new-hire paperwork packets and prepare orientation paperwork.
Assist with onboarding requirements of the position.
Conduct pre-employment verifications of prior employment for hiring candidates.
Process various pre-employment backgrounds. Including but not limited to Motor Vehicle background, DCF background, etc.
Maintain employee files in accordance with State and Federal laws.
Assist in coordination and arrangement of various company functions.
Abides by all Wellmore Agency and Personnel Policies including but not limited to: Code of Ethics and Confidentiality Policy.
Other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
An in-progress Bachelor’s degree. Preferably in the Human Resources/related field.
Strong interpersonal skills, oral and written communication skills, and the ability to analyze problems and recommend effective solutions.
