Job Description
The Early Childhood Services Based (ECSB) Community Resource Specialist will be responsible for the on-site operations of the Family Bridge Resource Center. The specialist will work under the direction of the Community Resource Coordinator to secure basic needs and educational resources for families' with children 0-5 years of age, aligning with the Early Childhood Services Based grant deliverables.
Serve as point person for the onsite daily operations of the Family Bridge Family Resource Center and educational services.
Receive referral forms completed by the families or individuals, either in person, by mail or online and to match them with other appropriate resources and/or education services
Assist Coordinator, in correlation to the Family Bridge Resource Center; develop an Educational Resource Framework to support families with children 0-5 years of age
Manage and Conduct data entry for family education services online and in person
Assist coordinator conduct in person classes for families as applicable and needed
Assist coordinator with the creation of a community resource guide for families' with children ages 0-5
Collaborate with Community Stakeholders to determine eligibility for community programs
Submit required reports in regards to family/educational resources
Develop Resource Data Base etc.
When applicable, assist Coordinator with the development of community outreach strategies to maximize community awareness of available resources/education services offered by the Family Bridge Family Resource Center
Ensure all outreach materials are organized, updated and culturally appropriate
Assist with the tracking of in-kind as applicable to grant documentation
Secure resources/basic needs support for families with children 0-5 years of age through utilization of designated grant funds, community resources etc.
Prepare and conduct presentations for the Family Resource Center and Coalition, as needed
Carries out other duties as assigned
Qualifications
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Bilingual in Spanish (Strongly Preferred)
High School Diploma or GED
Highly organized and accountable
Independent, self-motivated worker
Competent with computer skills, email, web browsing, internet, word processing
Highly motivated and able to work with a variety of groups
Must be able to read, speak, and translate in Spanish
Requires a valid Texas Driver's License, appropriate driving record and auto liability insurance that meets the minimum required by State of Texas statute
Mental and physical health sufficient to meet the demands of the position
REQUIRED SKILLS
Aptitude to complete paperwork and reports

Physical Requirements
Requires sitting, standing and walking for extensive periods of time. Requires working under stressful conditions or working irregular hours. Requires frequent exposure to communicable diseases, body fluids, toxic substances, medicinal preparations and other conditions common to a clinic environment.
The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Ability to work with a moderate noise level in the work environment is required.
The occupant may, at times, lift and/or move objects up to 30 pounds. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
