How you make a difference
The Director of Finance is a strategic leader responsible for providing financial and analytical support to drive company performance. This position is responsible for developing and implementing financial reporting and analytic tools and systems, analyzing operational variances, and responding to investor inquiries. The Director of Finance will play a key role in supporting corporate initiatives and special projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide financial and analytical support to corporate initiatives and special projects, performing ad-hoc analysis to aid in strategy discussions and decisions.
- Act as the subject matter expert on financial and strategic aspects, analyzing complex financial information and reports to provide accurate and timely recommendations to senior management.
- Prepare and present analyses to respond to inquiries from investors, manage investor relationships, and prepare presentations to the Board of Directors, Lenders, and Senior Management Team.
- Ensure reporting deadlines are met and develop high-performing teams through employee mentorship, retention, and talent assessment.
- Provide insights into operational variances, recommend financial planning strategies to achieve strategic goals, and analyze the drivers of the company's performance for various stakeholders.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics or related field.
- MBA preferred.
Experience
- 10 years of progressively responsible FP&A leadership experience.
- Investment banking and/or lender compliance reporting experience preferred.
- Strong leadership skills and presentation skills are required.
- Experience in multi-site entity is preferred with solid experience in managing executive meetings and MD&A.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups, macros, filters) and PowerPoint skills.
- Great Plains, BI 360, and Anaplan skills are desirable.
