Job Posting for Physical Therapy Assistant (PT) at WellPath,
Our Physical Therapist Assistant, under the direction and supervision of a physical therapist, will help patients who are recovering from injuries and illnesses regain movement and manage pain.
Education:
Must have associate’s degree from an accredited physical therapist assistant program.
Experience:
Minimum of one (1) year of clinical experience preferred
Licenses/Certifications:
Physical Therapist Assistant license required.
Must be able to obtain and maintain CPR certification.
Responsibilities:
Observes patients before, during, and after therapy, noting the patient’s status and reporting it to a physical therapist.
Helps patients do specific exercises as part of the plan of care
Treats patients, using a variety of techniques, such as massage and stretching
Uses devices and equipment, such as walkers, to help patients
Educates patients and family members about what to do after treatment
Must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance.
Must be able to apply principles of critical thinking to a variety of practical and emergent situations and accurately follow standardized procedures that may call for deviations.
Must be able to apply sound judgment beyond a specific set of instructions and apply knowledge to different factual situations.
Must be alert at all times; pay close attention to details.
Must be able to work under stress on a regular or continuous basis.
Post orders, if applicable, per site contract.
Perform other duties as assigned.
