About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Business Execution Consultant in Legal as part of the Regulatory & Risk Division. For additional information on this line of business, refer to the external Careers Site at Wellsfargo.com/career.

The successful candidate will join a team of matrixed resources who are responsible for delivery of legal and regulatory inventories and global handling and resolution of alignment and applicability questions raised by the bank's compliance and internal control functions, in partnership with our lines of business attorneys. This position is responsible for executing on the Legal department's responsibility related to delivery of inventories of laws and regulations applicable to every Wells Fargo business and enterprise function.

In this role, you will:
  • Lead cross functional teams to strategize, plan, and execute a variety of programs, services and initiatives
  • Drive accountability for assigned initiatives, limit risk exposure, and create efficiencies as appropriate
  • Review strategic approaches and effectiveness of support function and business performance
  • Perform assessments through fact finding and data requiring creative approaches to solving complex issues, and develop appropriate solutions or recommendations
  • Make decisions in highly complex and multifaceted situations requiring solid understanding of business group's functional area or products, facilitate decision making and issue resolution, and support implementation of developed solutions and plans
  • Collaborate and consult with members of the Business Execution team and team leaders to drive strategic initiatives
  • Influence, guide and lead less experienced Strategy and Execution staff within the group
  • Analyze questions from internal partners to determine scope based on parameters identified
  • Coordinate with team lead on attorney assignments
  • Oversee and augment the process of tracking questions or reviews assigned to subject matter experts and coordinate follow-ups as necessary
  • Inform and design technology solutions to support workflow of questions/answers within and away from the Legal department
  • Maintain trackers, e.g. at tracker identifying subject matter experts
  • Maintain and organize tools, such as a shared inbox used for communication with internal partners
  • Oversee and augment daily PowerPoint slides to provide update/status for team leads
  • Perform quality control and final delivery of responses to internal partners
  • Point of contact for questions related to the process (e.g., where key deliverables are located, how to use the site created for this process, etc.)
  • Prepare and maintain process guides and workflows
  • Track and prepare reports related to key metrics (e.g., volume of questions received, response types, average response time, themes, etc.)
  • Identify and recommend process improvements to team leads
Required Qualifications:
  • 5 years of Management Consulting, Strategy Consulting, or Business Operations experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
  • 5 years of experience consulting on a project, program or portfolio preferably overseeing large regulatory programs in financial service institutions
  • Ability to partner, influence, and negotiate with senior business leaders and management to gain consensus, commitment, and support to accomplish work stream program milestones, deliverables, tasks, and sub-tasks
  • Experience preparing and delivering effective executive summaries, whitepapers, status reports, and dynamic presentations for management and senior leaders.
  • Experience in problem analysis, solution implementation, and change management
  • Strong sense of urgency with the ability to ensure deliverables are completed by deadlines
  • Ability to be adaptable and flexible in a constantly changing environment driven by regulatory changes from government leadership
  • Knowledge and understanding of project or program management: development of roadmaps, strategies, and management from concepts in ideation through to execution and implementation
  • Virtual leadership experience with ability to effectively drive results, provide feedback/direction, and manage and build relationships with leaders and team members in a geographically dispersed team environment
  • Ability to effectively organize and prioritize work while handling multiple matters/workstreams simultaneously
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational and project management skills
  • Proven ability to deliver business results, track performance and demonstrate continuous improvement while working with cross-functional teams
  • Full competence with Microsoft Office applications, including SharePoint, Excel and Power Point and Visio and ability to track metrics and produce reporting
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
