The Position
The Wealth & Investment Management Digital Technology Executive will provide strategic leadership for key digital customer journeys including Customer Engagement, Advice and Planning, Customer Onboarding and Money Movement for all WIM lines of business - Wells Fargo Advisors and Private Wealth Management. The Technology Leader must work closely with members of WIM executive teams to ensure technology strategy meets the needs of business' long term strategy. As a part of strategy, Technology leader will have primary responsibility for growing digital self service capabilities.
The WIM Digital Technology team will be accountable to WIM executive management teams for all technology supporting multiple business lines: Advice & Planning and WIM Digital (including online trading capabilities).
This role will also oversee the allocation of people and financial resources to ensure efficient and effective execution aligned with strategic objectives and will make critical technology decisions requiring strong operational risk and customer impact management.

Responsibilities
- Developing and executing a multiyear technology strategy supporting full range of Wealth and Investment Management business services.
- Running a world class technology environment ensuring critical business deliverables are met in a predictable and seamless way.
- Engage effectively & leverage services provided by the Enterprise Chief Technology Office, Technology Infrastructure, Information Cyber Security Services teams to ensure a seamless service to the business.
- Engage with Wealth and Investment Management Operating Committee members ensuring technology strategy and investment is in line with business function objectives. Also ensure technology decisions are evaluated and assesses in line with technology industry standards including build vs buy decisions.
- Manage a complex Wealth and Investment management technology portfolio (e.g. Advice and Planning, Customer Onboarding, Money Movement) with diverse underlying technology architectures including legacy and cutting edge technologies.
- Assess current staff capabilities, identify talent gaps, and execute talent management actions aligned with human capital strategy.
- Provide senior technology perspective on industry trends, competitive landscape and market/regulatory changes leveraging industry contacts, vendors, and strategic technology partner relationships.
- Demonstrate business partner value by understanding the business, advocating technology solutions to advance business initiatives, incorporating internal / external customer views, and managing key financial indicators to the benefit of Well Fargo's shareholders.
- Establishing and maintaining a profile as a senior technology leader both inside and outside the firm.
- Serves as a role model demonstrating strong commitment to diversity & inclusion and Wells Fargo's culture and core values.
- 8 years of Technology Strategic Leadership experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 4 years of Management experience
- 8 years of technology leadership experience in one or more of these domains - Wealth/Investment Management/ Asset Management, Brokerage, and Innovation domains.
- 8 year's senior leadership experience managing an organization of 300 team members including highly technical subordinate senior managers and individual contributors across multi-site locations. This also includes contingent, managed, and offshore resource base.
- 10 years of broad experience across multiple areas of technology including one or more of architecture, data, infrastructure and application development with strong understanding of leading edge as well as legacy and distributed technologies to effectively manage the complex and diverse applications portfolio.
- Demonstrated prior experiences in effective engagement with senior technology and business stakeholders
- Highly effective decision-making/critical thinking/problem solving skills with a collaborative and results oriented leadership style
- Experience managing large or multiple technology development efforts within a major line of business.
- Ability to effectively partner and influence at the executive level
- Strong relevant prior experiences in effective management of technology financials and risk
- Demonstrated prior experiences in effective engagement with operating & management committee executives, board members and external regulators.
- Ability to effectively drive and lead change in an organization with Wells Fargo's size, scale and complexity.
- Demonstrated experience in building, leading, developing and retaining a high performing team of leaders, strong technical experts and high performing professionals in a cultural environment that achieves results through team member engagement and satisfaction.
- Demonstrated ability to manage a large portfolio of technology efforts across several major lines of business and effectively partner/influence at the senior executive level.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of the financial, operational, technical and regulatory drivers impacting a complex and dynamic global technology environment.
- Ability to develop technology strategy, operating model & roadmaps with clear objectives and aligned with business, enterprise and WFT strategies.
