What are the responsibilities and job description for the Consumer Banking Center Technology Leader position at Wells Fargo?

Wells Fargo is seeking a dynamic technology leader who brings vision and passion, to modernize the technology in our 4600 retail branches across the United States. This person will partner with key executives in Consumer Banking to envision technology that enhances the experience our customers. They will guide the decision-making process and then they will lead the build and manage delivery. This Technology Director will engage in hands-on problem solving, build and foster strategic relationships, and lead a team to achieve specific outcomes through direct interaction and delegation of significant responsibilities.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Provide an integrated perspective across the business and IT ensuring technologies are aligned with business strategies
  • Drive branch innovation both within technology and the Consumer Banking business line
  • Identify changes and trends in the retail banking industry, bringing thought leadership into the banking centers through technology
  • Lead the design and partner with business to build branch of the future
  • Determine long term organization-wide information needs, partnering with external technology and industry-leading companies. Develop overall strategy for information needs, systems development, hardware acquisitions, branch layout, staffing, branding and innovative pipeline from intake to branch network rollout

Required Qualifications

  • 8 years of Technology Strategic Leadership experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 4 years of Management experience

Desired Qualifications

  • 10 years of software engineering experience
  • 8 years of leadership or management experience in a technology environment
  • 8 years of experience managing software development projects
  • Master's degree or higher in computer science or engineering
  • 8 years of experience with Agile practices
  • 5 years of experience with systems architecture and design
  • 5 years of experience with modern software engineering technologies and tool sets
  • 5 years of experience successfully leading technology organization transformations
  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of strategic elements of financial, operational, technical, and regulatory environments across a complex global services environment
  • Ability to articulate business strategy and operations, translating organizational strategies into clear objectives and business action
  • Demonstrated experience in building, leading, developing, and retaining a team of managers, strong technical experts, and high performing professionals in geographically disbursed environments
  • Leadership experience managing a complex technology organization of large scale, including senior managers, managers, individual contributors across multiple global locations
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and partnerships across a diverse set of IT Leaders and business partners
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a large portfolio of technology efforts across several major lines of business and effectively partner/influence at the senior executive level
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the financial, operational, technical, and regulatory drivers impacting a complex and dynamic global technology environment
  • Ability to manage the complex and diverse applications portfolio
  • Proven experience as a highly effective leader with credibility from demonstrating strong business and technology acumen
  • Highly effective decision-making/critical thinking/problem solving skills with a collaborative and results oriented leadership style
  • Experience in financial services industry
  • Ability to travel

Pay Range

$207,900.00 - $431,900.00 Annual
