In this role, you will:
  • Within the Healthcare CIB, specific to the Life Sciences vertical, assisting in the execution of financial transactions ranging from M&A advisory, debt, equity, acquisition financing, etc.
  • Coordinate with product partners (M&A, DCM, ECM, LevFin, Corp Fin) to deliver for clients.
  • Run point in the creation of financial models and performing valuation analysis.
  • Prepare thought and forward thinking pitch and materials as well as offering documents and coordinating due diligence activities.
  • Review and analyze market data, valuation analyses, models, and presentations that require research, evaluation, selection of alternatives, and exercise independent judgment to guide medium risk deliverables.
  • Lead an Analyst team with the vertical/team. Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements within Investment Banking Program
  • Present recommendations for resolving business challenges and exercise independent judgment while developing expertise in the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
  • Lead an ANA team with the vertical/team. Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals.
Required Qualifications:
  • 2 years of Investment Banking Program experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
  • 2 years of Investment Banking experience Analyst or Associate.
  • Life science sector experience and/or advanced degree in life sciences (PhD, MD).
  • Ability to work effectively, as well as independently, in a team environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced deadline driven environment.
  • Strong financial modeling skills.
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Bachelor's Degree with academic distinction and coursework in financial accounting and corporate finance.
  • Experience in investment banking
  • Professional experience through internships, part-time or full time work, and/or extracurricular activities.
  • Dedication to building a career in Investment Banking.
  • Willingness to work long hours in a demanding, highly focused collaborative and fast paced team environment with a sense of personal accountability and urgency for achieving results.
Job Expectations:
  • Registration FINRA Series 63 must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted.
  • Registration for FINRA Series 79 must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted.
  • Registration for Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
Additional Information:
  • Posting may come down early based on applicant volume
  • Base salary for a 2nd Year Associate is $200K
  • May be considered for an annual discretionary bonus
  • Location: New York City-30 Hudson Yards
  • This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship.

Pay Range
$138,500.00 - $287,600.00
