Corporate Risk helps all Wells Fargo businesses identify and manage risk. The team focuses on several key risk types, including conduct, credit, financial crimes, information security, interest rate, liquidity, market, model, operational, regulatory compliance, reputation, strategic, and technology risk.

The group provides leadership, enhances communications, assists with problem identification and solutions, and shares best practices. In addition, the group provides an enterprise-wide view of risk, assists management and our Board of Directors in identifying and monitoring risks that may affect multiple lines of business, and takes appropriate action when business activities exceed the risk tolerance of the company.

Wells Fargo Bank N.A. seeks a Lead Securities Algorithmic Trader in Charlotte, NC.

Job Role and Responsibility: Responsible for designing, monitoring, and managing trading algorithms for electronic trades; Process and execute orders using automated and pre-programmed trading instructions - accounting for variables such as price, timing, and volume within Securities Algorithmic Trading; Serve as a subject matter expert on electronic trading algorithms to both clients and internal partners; Review and provide oversight for moderately complex algorithms, formulas, and mathematical models that require an in-depth evaluation of variable factors; Contribute to large-scale planning related to functional area deliverables; Receive direction from leaders and exercise independent judgment to understand and develop functions, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements; and Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve issues and achieve goals.

Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, or related quantitative field. Position requires 4 years of experience in the job offered or in a field involving quantitative analytics.

Position requires the following:

•              Experience in securities algorithmic trading

•              Ability to analyze large datasets, build models, and draw commercial conclusions

•              Ability to develop and deliver production code using Java/C and Python

•              Experience designing and building systematic/algorithmic trading systems, including market-making systems in the fixed income space

•              Experience with fixed-income markets; building machine-learning models; collaborating on a large-scale, enterprise codebase; working with large-scale datasets in Python; and developing a safe environment using controls, testing, and resiliency around electronic trading

•              Experience with Unix and shell scripting
