About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Marketing Associate to join the WIM Marketing team.  This position supports risk and compliance activities related to marketing collateral, digital content and other marketing communications. The team is responsible for reviewing marketing pieces and ensuring compliance standards for Retail Sale of Non-deposit Investment and Insurance Products (RSNIP), SEC Investment Advisor Marketing rule and other regulatory entities and Americans with Disabilities (ADA) standards.  The WIM Marketing team is evolving to support our business. As a member of this growing team, you will a key part of building an organization to support our Financial Advisors (FAs) and their teams. Your role is the development and implementation of marketing solutions to support our Advisors in their effort to grow their practice and their clients’ success. In addition to working closely with the Financial Advisor team, you will work on several projects that help build multi-channel marketing solutions and focused growth.  This team may be supportive of individuals obtaining FINRA Series 7 license (and/or other licenses) in the future.

This group will partner with business control, legal partners, compliance officers, operational and risk, and business leaders to ensure that marketing delivers growth in a complaint manner. The Marketing Associate will support these activities by reviewing ongoing participating line of business assurance activity reporting or executing controls and/or front-line assurance activities to confirm they are operating effectively. As part of the overall Field Marketing Team, you will partner with the organization supporting initiatives that help advisors grow their business, develop programs that drive revenue and ensuring that all are aligned with the risk and compliance marketing standards.

In this role, you will:

  • Implement and monitor marketing programs, improvement opportunities, and risk management
  • Execute assessments, ad hoc reviews, quality activities, issue intake process, remediation process, and program management
  • Conduct policy/procedure administration, legal and regulatory adherence and reporting and analysis
  • Consult on process execution matters for risk policies/ programs, business process risk/ control assessment at process level

This position offers a hybrid work schedule in one of the listed job locations.


Required Qualifications:

  • 6 months of Marketing experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education


Desired Qualifications:

  • 6 months of exposure to audit and/or compliance experience
  • Experience in aligning marketing audit activities to priorities and Key Performance Indicators
  • Demonstrated experience reviewing marketing materials generated by Financial Advisor to support field sales and marketing
  • Experience monitoring business processes
  • Experience in Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) concepts
  • Ability to deliver high quality results in a high-volume manual operating environment
  • Refined analytical skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy  
  • Experience developing partnerships and collaborating with other business and functional areas
  • Ability to work and influence successfully within a matrix environment and build effective business partnerships with all levels of team members
  • Experience exercising independent judgment and using creative problem-solving techniques
  • Outstanding verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Experience interacting with Financial Advisors
