About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Paralegal Manager in the Legal Department as part of the Employment Counseling & Litigation Section of the Legal Department.  For additional information on this line of business, refer to the external Careers Site at Wellsfargo.com/career. 

In this role, you will:

  • Manage a team of Paralegals in the Employment Counseling & Litigation Section of the Legal Department that provides legal support and guidance associated with employment law matters across the enterprise
  • Collaborate with the Section to oversee paralegal support such as litigation case management and reporting, the collection of documents and information, the preparation of legal documentation and correspondence with clients and attorneys, legal hold notices, and the research and analysis provided by the team
  • Assign work in a way that provides adequate support and coverage in alignment with the risks and priorities of each matter
  • Work independently while consulting with attorneys as needed
  • Develop processes to track and ensure quality and accuracy of work
  • Oversee the work of the team and monitor progress to ensure timely completion of tasks
  • Demonstrate flexibility to handle a wide variety of tasks and excel in time and process management
  • Respond to escalated issues, providing direct support to senior leadership
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
  • Make decisions and resolve complex issues, including identifying and managing risks
  • Coordinate with attorneys on special requests or highly complex projects
  • Manage allocation of people and financial resources for the team
  • Mentor and guide talent development of direct reports and assist in hiring talent
  • This individual may also have his/her own caseload to provide paralegal support for an attorney


Required Qualifications:

  • 4 years of Paralegal experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 2 years of Leadership experience


Desired Qualifications:

  • 3 years of focused practice experience in one or more concentrated areas of law, particularly labor and employment law 
  • Workforce management experience including directing activities of team members, performance management, career development, coaching, mentoring, and succession planning
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills 
  • Ability to interact with integrity and a high level of professionalism with all levels of team members and management 
  • Ability to work and influence successfully within a matrix environment and build effective business partnerships with all levels of team members 
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills 
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills


Job Expectations:

  • Paralegal certification may be required in some states
  • Position will require onsite presence from any of the required locations listed below
  • This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship
  • Relocation assistance is not available for this position.

Pay Range

$73,100.00 - $129,900.00
