Branch Banking serves more than 70 million consumer and small business customers through a distribution network consisting of retail branches, ATMs, and online and digital channels, offering financial products and services to consumers and small businesses through approximately 5,200 retail banking branches and more than 13,000 ATMs in 36 states and Washington, D.C. Branch Banking includes the Affluent Segment and Strategy team and Wells Fargo At WorkSM, the Business Development Office, Business Initiatives, Business Performance & Accountability, Distribution Strategies, Future Banking, and Regional Banking.
As a relationship banker at Wells Fargo, you will be responsible for servicing and growing consumer and small business customer relationships. You will work proactively to engage customers to understand what is most important to them and help with their current and future financial needs. Relationship Bankers work with partners to deliver an exceptional customer experience, acquire, deepen, and retain relationships, and help customers succeed financially.
Your responsibilities include:
• Building relationships with customers by asking questions to learn about their financial needs, understanding customers’ life events and goals; and sharing how Wells Fargo can help by following up through proactive outreach, and appointments.
• Building relationships with branch employees and partners by working together to best serve customers.
• Growing a book of business through proactive outreach.
• Conducting needs based conversations to identify credit, deposit, and investment needs of customers.
• Making introductions to partners to help meet customer’s broader financial needs as appropriate.
• Partnering closely with financial advisors to understand appropriate introductions to address the needs of customers with investment or retirement needs.
• Serving as a leader in managing risk; understand and manage risks in the business, adhere to policies, procedures, and controls and ensure compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
• Explaining and demonstrating self-service mobile options to customers.
• Maintaining knowledge of bank products and services.
• Completing service requests, identifying, and resolving customer concerns by following resolution protocol.
A contingent Relationship banker primarily participates in the Branch Banking Licensed Banker licensing program. Upon successful completion of licensing requirements, this employee will transition to the Branch Relationship Banker role., Market, Financial Crimes, Operational, Regulatory Compliance), which includes effectively following and adhering to applicable Wells Fargo policies and procedures, appropriately fulfilling risk and compliance obligations, timely and effective escalation and remediation of issues, and making sound risk decisions. There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit’s risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.
