About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking an External Financial Reporting Analyst on the SEC Reporting team within Enterprise Accounting Policy/SEC Reporting Team in Finance Controllers organization. Supporting external reporting functions with end-end reporting processes, role provides technical regulatory reporting guidance while meeting strict timelines in pre-production data analysis/updates with Line of Business (LOB) certifications and production submission of 10-Q and 10-K filings. Position offers implementation of new accounting standards, exposure to senior management in enterprise reporting view and mobility to various LOBs!
In this role, you will:

Meet company regulatory, Security and Exchange Commission and other external financial reporting requirements

Support end-to-end reporting process requirements by analyzing/resolving/updating data issues to deliver compliant, accurate external financial reporting

Implement projects and initiatives while ensuring internal/external compliance and risk management

Provide accounting technical regulatory capital and regulatory reporting guidance

Resolve issues and achieve goals in partnership with peers, colleagues and managers

Communicate and provide consultation with experienced stakeholders across the enterprise
Required Qualifications:
-
2 years of Finance, Accounting, Financial Reporting experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:

2 years in Finance, Accounting, Financial Reporting, Statistics, Analytics, Economics, Business or equivalent experience from work, training, military, education

Knowledge/understanding of accounting principles: statutory and GAAP

CPA Certification and Big 4, Public Accounting, SEC Reporting or Financial Services a plus

Intermediate Essbase or SmartView skills for granulated General Ledger functions as needed

Intermediate MS Office (Word/Excel/Outlook) skills; Workiva-WDesk or web report filing software

Able to quickly grasp business issues, analyze and translate quantitative/qualitative data and recommend/drive resolutions

Demonstrated success in complex, matrixed environment with deadline deliverables

Able to work effectively, and independently, in team environment
