About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Credit Risk Specialist who will focus on the Balance Transfer program and mainly will be working with data, responding to ad-hoc requests, and maintaining strategy for Balance Transfers. This is a data intensive role that will have exposure to presenting analytics to leadership.
In this role, you will:
- Analysis of credit card portfolio data and strategic planning for Consumer Card Portfolio Growth and Engagement, including balance Transfer, Product Upgrade, Retention, etc. Partner with various teams and drive decisions through data analysis on various segments of cards portfolio. Develop strategies and treatment options for any exceptions and address edge cases. Conduct review, monitoring of accounts and regular MIS. Work with Execution partners implement strategy on a monthly basis. Documentation of process and execution plan.
- Quantitative analytics using programming tools (SQL, SAS, Tableau and/or Python, R) to analyze data from a variety of sources to develop portfolio and account management strategies
- Provide insights and regular updates to senior leadership regarding portfolio and ongoing program performance. Produce and review monthly, quarterly and annual strategy performance reports for senior management
- Partner with cross functional teams and internal stakeholders, including Product, Marketing, Finance, Operations, Fraud, Execution/Implementation, compliance and legal
- Maintain on-going processes and data updates to ensure data integrity, accuracy and timeliness
- Lead/support ad-hoc business analytics as needed
Required Qualifications, US:
- 4 years of Credit Risk experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
- Strong strategy, data/analytics and reporting experiences, SAS/SQL and/or Python/R background, and extensive experience in combining/analyzing data from multiple large data sources to develop and implement credit control strategies. Familiarity with credit card industry is a plus.
- 1 year of statistical analysis
- 3 years of experience with computer programs including, but not limited to, Microsoft Excel, VBA (Visual Basic for Applications), Cognos or Tableau, SharePoint, google doc
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to articulate complex concepts in a clear manner
- Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment
- Knowledge and understanding of databases and data mining techniques
- Proactive with results driven attitude, and strong problem solving skills
- Well organized, attention to detail
- Proven track record with hands on experience in business analytics and strategy recommendation
